The Tokyo District Court ordered a former consulting company executive to pay 50 million yen for luring his former subordinates to a rival firm he moved to, saying he violated his previous employer’s bylaws against headhunting.
In its ruling issued on Feb. 16, the court called the headhunting a “treacherous” act that cannot be justified in light of social norms.

NBA: Washington's Rui Hachimura goes for 20 in win over Brooklyn.
Rui Hachimura broke the 20-point mark for the first time this season in a 117-103 win on Thursday for his Washington Wizards over the reeling Brooklyn Nets.

14-year-old boy arrested after attacking classmate with knife at school.

Police in Nabari, Mie Prefecture, have arrested a 14-year-old boy after he stabbed a 14-year-old classmate in the neck with a knife in a corridor at their school.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 10 a.m. outside a classroom on the second floor, Sankei Shimbun reported. The victim was taken to hospital where doctors said his wound was not life-threatening.

The combined 10th Osaka Marathon and 77th Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon will be held without the usual 20,000 amateur "citizen" runners to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections, Osaka Gov. Hirofumi Yoshimura revealed on Feb. 15.

US Disney World: No more masks indoors for vaccinated visitors.
Starting this week, the masks are coming off for vaccinated visitors to Walt Disney World in Florida.
